Today, the student that I was assigned to worked through and completed the diagnostic quizzes found in Khan Academy. After, we discussed what areas they needed to work in and proceeded to do some of the suggested practice problems. I think that today went well and it was an enjoyable session.

It was enjoyable researching this organization and learning more about what they do. Moreover, it was enjoyable to create Instagram content for their Instagram page. I think that the content I created should be able to engage their audience and hopefully make more people aware of their cause.

At the start of today's tutoring session, the group did an icebreaker activity. After sharing our names and their meaning, everyone went off to their assigned rooms. I spent most of this time helping Todd set up his college board account and linking it to his khan academy account. Since we took so long completing this task, we left the diagnostic test for the next session.

Today I reviewed how to add fractions with the girl I was tutoring. She had a lot of trouble since she did not really know her multiplication table. However, by the end of class, she was able to grasp the basic concept of solving these problems.

Today was the first time the tutors met the students. We introduced ourselves and proceeded to share an item that had some personal meaning to us. It was fun meeting everyone and conversing with them. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet with the student I was paired with. However, it was still an enjoyable introductory session.

I presented my ideas for an Instagram page that would help the organization gain more recognition from the public and hopefully gather more money for their cause. Moreover, I listened to my group to present their other ideas, and hear feedback from members of the organization. It was certainly interesting hearing and interacting with these members and their ideas about our presentation. It was an enjoyable experience.

Today I was able to meet my fellow tutors and instructor. We introduced ourselves and proceeded to discuss how exactly the curriculum was going to work. Moreover, we discussed what we were expecting from the program. It was fun meeting everyone, and this session was thoroughly enjoyable.

I think that today's tutoring session was a success. The kid who I was paired with was leaning about long division with double-digit numbers. He seemed extremely comfortable in solving these problems. That is why I decided to start practicing with triple-digit numbers. By the end of the class, he was able to solve these problems with ease. After we finished practicing (we had 15 minutes remaining), we discussed our favorite foods and ended with a discussion about my new puppy.
